House: Pine (matsu). Though his skill in divination and affinity with the supernatural would also make him a good fit for Willow, his quiet fortitude, self-discipline and tendency to take on too much responsibility puts him firmly in Pine.

Familiar: Fish owl, Shinju. (She goes fishing with him)

History: Tezuka comes from a long line of wizards and witches, that in the distant past have been called mediums, or shamans by muggles. In the present day, Tezuka’s family still interacts with the muggle world to remove cursed objects, poltergeists, or errant magical beasts from places they shouldn’t be in (as El likes to say, GHOST BUSTERS >>). While they consider themselves specialists in curse breaking and magical hazard removal, muggles think of them as exorcists and employ them as such. As a child, Tezuka had a particular talent for divination, especially for scrying the location of objects of interest, a trait which had not been seen in the Tezuka family for generations. His grandfather did his best to encourage Tezuka’s magical development, often patiently spending long hours tutoring him. As a result, it came as no surprise when Tezuka easily passed the entrance requirements for entering the Academy.

Other stuff:
As a very young child, Tezuka had a somewhat dubious talent of being able to make any object within some radius of him gravitate towards himself, which he keeps under control now that he is older, though a small slip-up during Quidditch once attracted a bludger to his shoulder (now he never lets his guard down). He still plays and enjoys Quidditch.
